"I'm very grateful for the scholarship from CBTB.  Without it, I wouldn't be able to learn

ballet.  Miss Marla has been so good to me and has taught me so much."

CBTB Dance Scholarships

ROBERTA SOLOMON BALLET SCHOLARSHIP

The 5th annual Roberta Solomon Ballet Scholarships was awarded to Elizabeth Ipkaha (7 yrs) . The partial scholarship was awarded to Roksolana Filatova (8 yrs). Scholarship auditions were held on September 25, 2011. CBTB thanks Mr. Solomon for generously underwriting the cost of these scholarships.

BOYS SCHOLARSHIPS
The Boys Scholarship program is in full gear with first year, second, third and fourth year scholarship boys. The first year scholarships were awarded to Matthew Laptev (7 yrs.)  and Christopher Martinez (9 yrs.). Second year scholarships were awarded to Ethan & Cwamique Millington.  Third year scholarships were awarded to Joshua Venetian (8 yrs.) and Sylvester Hunyh (9 yrs.).  Fourth year scholarships were awarded to Nirvan Singh (12 yrs.) and Benjamin Montoya-Burke (11 yrs.). This program is made possible, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.  Special thank you to Councilman Mike Nelson for discretionary funds awarded to CBTB Academy for the Boys Scholarship.

WORK SCHOLARSHIPS
Work Scholarships have been awarded to young students ages 13 and older who have displayed maturity and dedication to their dancing, and have shown financial need. These young students carry out a myriad of tasks at the Academy (such as assisting dance instructors, reception and cleaning work) in lieu of their student program tuition.
