CBT-2

Under the guidance and direction of faculty advisor Kristin Licata, CBT-2 provides workshops and performance opportunities for serious dance students.

CBT-2 members have performed in venues in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. Students learn original ballet repertory from CBT’s Artistic Director Marla Hirokawa, in addition to classical and contemporary repertoire. Additionally, students have the opportunity to create and present their own work under the guidance of Ms. Licata at CBT’s end of year showcase.

KRISTIN LICATA

CBT-2 ARTISTIC ADVISOR

 

KRISTIN LICATA received her initial training at the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble and the Harkness Youth Ballet at 92Y. She earned her BFA from the Ailey/Fordham University program. She has extensive and diverse performance experience, having worked with choreographers Sean Curran, Chanel DaSilva, and Michael Spencer Phillips and danced with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II, Felice Lesser Dance Theatre, Regina Nejman and Company, Tamara Saari Dance, Vabang!, Vox Luminere, and Yuka Kawazu/Danse En L’air. She has performed nationally and internationally. She is currently dancing with Ariel Rivka Dance, Matthew Westerby Company, Valerie Green/Dance Entropy and is a Covenant Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer. 

 

Miss Kristin joined CBT’s faculty in 2007 and is the Artistic Advisor for CBT-2. Additionally, she is on faculty at Elite Performing Arts Center in New Jersey and Rivertown Dance Academy in Westchester. She is a CBT Teaching Artist who teaches throughout NYC public schools for Arts in Education residencies. Miss Kristin is an American Ballet Theatre® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT National Training Curriculum.
