#Give35 on

Giving Tuesday

November 29, 2022

Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn needs your support to ensure that the next generation of dancers has the opportunity to experience the magic of CBT. Help us meet our goal by giving at least $35 today and sharing this campaign with others. By supporting CBT during its 35th anniversary season, you can help make CBT’s unique benefits available to more students and audience members than ever.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Last year donors and volunteers showed up in a big way to support the causes they care about. In 2021,
$2.7 billion was given in the U.S. and 35 million adults in the U.S. participated.

Matching opportunities

Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn has received a very generous matching gift for Giving Tuesday on November 29! A long-term CBT supporter and advisory committee member has pledged to match the first #Giving Tuesday contributions up to $1,000. You can double the impact of your gift by taking advantage of this generous opportunity, so please give early on Giving Tuesday!

You can also double your contribution to CBT if your employer has a gift-matching program. Check with your employers' human resources department for more information, or look up your employer here

For those giving on Facebook and Instagram, Meta is also matching recurring donations to celebrate the giving season up to $7 million. Become a recurring donor to CBT on Facebook or Instagram before December 1, 2022, and Meta will match the amount you donate up to $100 after your second donation is received in December. To take advantage of this opportunity, visit Facebook or Instagram.

How can I create an individual fundraising campaign to support CBT?

You can easily create a fundraiser on Instagram and/or Facebook. Once you’ve created a campaign, there are things you can do to attract people to contribute to your cause, including posting a picture on your fundraising page, sharing your fundraising page on social media, email, and chat groups, and telling people why this cause is important to you.

Who can I contact if I need help?

You can contact us any time if you need help. We love hearing from our friends so please don't hesitate to write to us about issues, suggestions, or to just say hi.

Thank you for your generosity, and for helping CBT make a difference in the lives of the hundreds of young people it serves each year!
